Notice of Water System Upgrades - Thornton
This notice is to advise that the Township will be completing water system upgrades in Thornton this year as presented in the 2022 capital budget.
In 2021, the Township increased the capacity of the twin water storage tanks on Davis trail to stabilize fire flow and ensure sufficient capacity to the resident of Thornton.
In 2022, the Township will be installing Pressure Reducing Valves (PRV’s) at selected locations based on the Thornton 2022 WaterGEMS Model Pressure Assessment to stabilize the water pressure across the community.
All work is anticipated to be completed on or before October 31, 2022.
Due to the anticipated water system upgrades, Periodic water interruption may occur in the community. Fire services will not be interrupted. Please notify staff if you experience any interruption.
