Recruitment and Selection Process

Candidates selected for interviews will be contacted directly by the Township of Essa to set up an interview date and time.

Some jobs may require testing to evaluate skill performance related to the position. You will be notified of any job testing requirements when you are contacted for your interview.
The Township will contact the successful candidate to obtain consent to complete reference checks.
Following satisfactory reference checks, the Township will provide a formal offer of employment to the successful candidate. Please note that some offers may still be conditional upon the following:
- satisfactory driver's abstract
- proof of valid driver's license
- satisfactory police record check
It is important that you review your written offer of employment, and reach out to your Department Head to ask questions prior to signing.
Once you have accepted the offer of employment, you will receive instructions to complete onboarding documents. Please be sure to complete and submit these onboarding documents to the municipal office. Your Manager and/or Supervisor will advise on your start date, and provide you with additional details for your first week.
