The Township of Essa welcomes you to experience the outdoors in its various trails, parks and green spaces.  There's something for everyone to see, do and enjoy.  With over 20 playgrounds and 27 parks, Essa provides plenty of spaces for community members to get out and get active.​ 

Each park accommodates different recreational experiences, including playgrounds, adult exercise equipment, splash pads, tennis courts, basketball nets, soccer fields, baseball diamonds, outdoor pads, off-leash dog parks, skateboarding, and a series of trails.  

Essa is also home to four fishing parks.

With a sprawling network of trails and the robust Nottawasaga River in Essa, we encourage you to explore our trails and visit our picturesque parks and conservation areas throughout the municipality.  There is something for everybody to do ranging from skating to fishing to hiking and cycling.  You can also visit the Essa Public Library to explore your mind!
