Essa Residents Happy Fall!

As the trees trade their summer green for brilliant golds and reds, we are reminded that change can be beautiful and community is constant. Fall brings cooler mornings, busy farm fields and the joyful hustle of harvest season to gather. Reflect and appreciate the places and people who make Essa home. This Fall we celebrate your resilience and neighbourliness. From volunteers keeping our trails and roads clean to our businesses adapting and thriving and to families and seniors who keep our traditions alive. Your care for one another is what shapes our Township.

As your Mayor and Council, we're grateful for your ideas, your participation at public meetings and conversations that guide our plans for safe roads, green spaces, programs, and services that meet local needs.

We extend a heartfelt thank you to all Essa staff for their dedication and hard work. Your commitment behind the scenes maintaining services, supporting residents and keeping operations running smoothly makes our communities stronger every day. Please do the posted speeds on our roads. All speeding is done from the operator behind the wheel. We can all do better to keep everyone safe on our roads. Keep our communities clean by picking up your garbage and cleaning up after your fur babies. Check on your neighbours and consider supporting local initiatives that strengthen community connections. Looking ahead, we remain committed to listening, working together and stewarding Essa's charm and opportunities for generations to come.

Winter 2026 Message

Dear Residents of Essa Township,

❄️Winter greetings and Happy and Healthy New Year from Essa Council and Staff.

As the season settles in, we encourage you to get out and enjoy all Essa has to offer while staying safe and warm.

⛄Essa Parks and Recreation Department continue to deliver programs for all ages. Check out the website to browse and register for a program. It is a great way to meet your fellow residents. Don't forget we offer public skating at the Angus and Thornton arenas.

Our Essa Library is excited to share their new 2026 programs with you.

Please obey the posted speed limits. Slow down in residential areas and school zones, your caution can save a life.

Thank you for your patience as our Public Works Department works diligently to keep sidewalks and roads safe for our residents during the record wintry snowfall conditions. Drive and walk safely in these winter conditions.

Our Fire Department had a very busy 2025, Thank you for keeping everyone safe daily.

We have a great team at our Essa Administration Centre who keeps Essa running like clockwork.

Minor Hockey in Thornton and Angus are in full swing, come out to a game and cheer on our local hockey talent.

Shop local to support our many new and existing businesses.

Remember to check in with your neighbours, shut-ins and seniors.

Thank you to all Residents and Staff for making Essa a place we are proud to call home.
