Temporary Trail Closure Notice – Trans Canada Trail
The Township of Essa would like to advise residents and trail users of a temporary closure along the Trans Canada Trail. The section of trail located between the 10th Sideroad and the 11th Line will be closed beginning Tuesday, September 30th, 2025, through to Thursday, October 2nd, 2025, to allow for necessary culvert repairs.

Council of the Corporation of the Township of Essa hereby proclaims September 2025 as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, recognizing the importance of supporting children and families affected by childhood cancer and raising awareness of this important cause.
Notice of Construction & Temporary Road Closures
South Shore Contracting is expected to commence construction on the week of September 1st, 2025. It is anticipated that the project will be completed the week of December 8th, 2025.

The Township of Essa has lifted the burn ban effective immediately. The Fire Danger Rating has returned to Moderate.
