Notice of Sanitary Forcemain Work on Denney Drive
SCS Consulting Group wishes to inform residents that the sanitary forcemain work on Denney Drive will be commencing shortly. This work is estimated to start on July 2, 2024, weather permitting and last approximately one (1) month.
As the Consulting Engineer for this project, we will provide the supervision and inspection of the owner’s contractor on the site. We are also available to address any issues you may have with respect to the construction by communicating with the owner and contractor to resolve any issues.
While the construction is active, you may experience temporary construction-related disruptions including construction traffic, noise, and dust. Every attempt will be made to minimize these disruptions. Should site conditions necessitate making short-term disruptions, you will receive prior notice; however, no such disruptions are anticipated at this time.
Pursuant to the applicable by-laws, working hours for the work are Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm.
Safety
We all want to keep work areas and adjacent roads as safe as possible. We urge you to follow these simple pointers during the construction period:
1. Please advise children to stay clear from all construction areas and avoid entering the construction area. Construction vehicles are noisy and have wider blind spots than cars and trucks, so the operator may not be able to see you or your child. Never assume that the construction vehicle operator knows where you are.
2. Please ensure you and your children do not enter the work area as there will be unseen hazards.
3. Where possible please avoid parking in the vicinity of the construction site. Lane restrictions with increased construction traffic and low visibility could create a hazard.
