Speak before Council

Members of the public wishing to bring forward new matters to Council or new information may do so by making a Delegation Request to appear before Council.

No member of the public shall be permitted to address Council on any subject without the prior approval of the Clerk through the process of a written request, or unless they are directly invited to do so by the Mayor.

All delegations shall take place in Committee of the Whole.  A person wishing to address Council may speak for up to ten minutes.

Delegations of more than five persons shall be limited to two speakers.

Requests from persons who have previously addressed Council at a regular or public meeting within the last six months on a particular item shall not be granted unless there is new information to present.

In order to speak before Council, applicants are required to complete and submit the Delegation Request Form.
