NOTICE TO THE THORNTON COMMUNITY: TEMPORARY REQUEST TO REDUCE WATER USAGE

Dear Residents,

In order to ensure adequate water usage for unexpected emergencies and meet regulatory requirements, a water restriction notice has been issued in the community of Thornton for the Thornton Drinking Water System.

During this period, we kindly ask all residents to temporarily reduce water usage, to ensure water conservation.

REQUESTED REDUCTION PERIOD:
Friday August 15, 2025 – Until Further Notice

Tips to Reduce Usage:

  • Limit non-essential water use
  • Avoid Watering Lawns (new sod/seed or existing)
  • Avoid washing vehicles
  • Avoid watering trees, shrubs, flowers and gardens
  • Avoid use of water toys, waterslides and water sprinklers
  • Avoid watering driveways, siding and windows
  • Report any leaks or excessive water flow immediately
