Notice of the Passing of a Zoning By-Law Amendment No Z15-23 The Township of Essa passed By-law No. 2025-53 on December 10th, 2025, amending By-law No. 2025-14. TAKE NOTICE that an application has been submitted for a Minor Variance application on the property known legally as PLAN 1567 LOT 1, municipally 61 Vernon Street. The applicant is seeking relief from Section 8.1.1 (a) of Essa Township’s Zoning By-law 2003-50 which stipulates that Unenclosed decks in the specified zones have a minimum interior side yard setback of 1.5-metres. The applicant is proposing to go from a 1.5 m interior yard setback to a 1.2 m interior yard setback for the unenclosed deck.
TAKE NOTICE that an application has been submitted for a Minor Variance application on the property known legally as PLAN 51M1130 PT LOT 27 RP;51R42939 PARTS 22 TO 24, municipally 128 Wood Crescent. The applicant is seeking relief from Section 4.28.4 of Essa Township’s Zoning By-law 2003-50 which stipulates that all required parking for residential zones shall be located externally. The applicant is proposing to utilize the garage as a parking for the primary unit to accommodate an external parking for a basement ARU.
