Notice of Road Construction

Please be advised that the Township of Essa will be commencing Road Construction on:

• 5^th Sideroad Reconstruction/Repaving (9^th line to 11^th line)
• Willoughby Road Pathway Reconstruction (At the 4^th Line)
• William St., Stoddart St. and Victoria St. Improvements/ Paving (Village of Thronton)
• Intersections Improvement/Repaving (6^th line and Smith Rd. – 10^th Sideroad and Simcoe Road 56 – 6^th line and 5^th Sideroad – 10^th Line and 10^th Sideroad- 5^th Line)
• 8^th Line (highway 89 to 5^th Sideroad) Reconstruction/Double Surface Treatment
• 9^th Line (20^th Sideroad to 25^th Sideroad) Reconstruction/Double Surface Treatment
• 10^th Line (highway 89 to 5^th Sideroad) Reconstruction/Double Surface Treatment
• Pine River Road- Micro-sealing
• 6^th Line Dead-end (south of 25^th sideroad)- Micro-sealing
• 6^th Line (south of County Road 21) - Micro-sealing
• 8^th Line (north of 20^th Sideroad) - Micro-sealing

The scope of work includes but not limited to, pulverization, placing granular material, grading, ditching, Asphalt Paving, Double surface treatment and Micro sealing.

The Township of Essa is expected to commence construction in May, it is anticipated that the projects will be completed in October, 2024. Although every effort will be made to limit the amount of disturbance to residents, inconveniences such as impeded traffic flow and access to driveways are to be expected. We request that when driving or walking through and around the construction area, please proceed with caution and obey the construction traffic signs and personnel. It is anticipated that a soft road closure will be in place during construction. Please see the provide map for more information.
