Notice of Water Disruption: Thornton Drinking Water System
The Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA) will be doing construction on the water system and you may experience periods of no water during the hours stated below.
There will be a 1-day temporary water disruption during the week of:
August 12-23, 2024
between the hours of:
8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Impacted residents will be notified a minimum 48-hours ahead of the planned interruption.
Following Locations Only:
39 to 63 Vanderpost Crescent
6 Earls Court
Once service is restored, you may experience discoloured water coming from your tap.
If this happens, The Ontario Clean Water Agency suggests you try the following:
- remove the tap aerators off your taps and flush all the house lines until the
water runs clear. - flush out your hot water tanks. This is to remove the accumulated iron that
precipitates out in the tank; this iron may also decrease the efficiency of your
water tank.
