Emergency Planning
The aim of the Township of Essa Emergency Management program is to incorporate the four principals of emergency management; mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery in an effort to create a disaster resilient community. The aim of this response plan is to make provision for the extraordinary arrangements and measures that may have to be taken to protect the health, safety, welfare, environment and economic health of the residents, businesses and visitors of the Township of Essa when faced with an emergency. The plan enables a centralized, controlled and coordinated response to emergencies in the Township of Essa, and complies with the legislated requirements of the Emergency Management Act. The Emergency Plan was adopted by Council of the Corporation of the Township of Essa. The Emergency Plan is reviewed on an annual basis.
