May 13, 2022 - The Township of Essa would like to remind dirt bike enthusiasts that dirt bikes equipped with a green and white license plate or no licence plate are not permitted to be driven on roadways, sidewalks, parks, community centres, schools, conservation areas and trails that are under municipal jurisdiction.

Essa's new Canoe and Kayak Accessible Boat Launch in Angus is now OPEN! Join us on May 18, 2022 at 10:00am to commemorate Essa's first Canoe and Kayak Accessible Boat Launch on the west side of the Nottawasaga River at Angus Community Park.
In an effort to recognize and reward youth in our communities for wearing their helmet and for cycling safely, the municipality is once again kicking off its “Operation Brain Freeze” campaign. The objective of the campaign is to not only promote the use of safe biking habits by youth in our communities, but to endorse the use of bike helmets.
May 6, 2022 – After two years of virtual meetings following the COVID-19 Pandemic, the municipality is pleased to inform residents that at its meeting of May 4, 2022, Council announced that they will be returning to in-person meetings starting with the Committee of the Whole and Regular Council meetings scheduled on May 18, 2022.
Reminder to resident's - ATV's and ORV's are permitted on municipal roadways as of May 1st until November 1st. Before heading out, please review our ATV/ORV page to ensure you are familiar with the rules. Ride safe!

Please be advised that the municipality has authorized site works to commence for the property located at 58 Vernon Street in Angus. The purpose of the site works is to allow for tree removal and soil testing.
